He said that around 80 kanals of land has been allocated for the hospital, while the Eidgah is spread over 650 kanals.

Also, a week after the Waqf Board’s statement, Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Pandurag Pol said that the government will develop a state-of-the-art sports ground with cricket and football facilities at Eidgah. The Hurriyat led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the government wants to capture the holy place of Eidgah. Also, a month ago, Andrabi said that the Eidgah is only for offering prayers, so it cannot be developed as a playground.
