UNITED NATIONS: The United States is committed to advancing its vision of global freedom and prosperity, but is not seeking “conflict” or a new Cold War with rival China, President Joe Biden told the United Nations on Wednesday.
“I will speak directly about the rivalry between the United States and China,” Biden told the UN General Assembly. “As we manage changing geopolitical trends, the United States will conduct itself as a fair leader. We are not seeking conflict, we are not seeking a Cold War.”

Washington will not call on countries to “choose” between the United States and other allies, though Biden stressed that “America will not be shy in promoting our vision for a free, open, secure and prosperous world.”
