Republicans in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania are working to remove President Joe Biden from their respective election ballots.

The three Republican lawmakers spearheading this effort—Pennsylvania Rep. Aaron Bernstine, Georgia Rep. Charlice Byrd, and Arizona Rep. Cory Mcgarr—have now crafted legislation to keep President Biden off the ballots in their respective states.

This initiative follows the Colorado Supreme Court’s recent decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the Colorado Republican primary ballot. The move received harsh criticism from Republicans across the country, including lawmakers from both parties.

In reaction to probable similar measures by California Democrats, Governor Gavin Newsom sent the following warning to his party in a recent Politico interview:

“There is no doubt that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and even to our democracy, but in California, we defeat candidates at the polls. Everything else is a political distraction.”

The three Republicans told Breitbart News that they were working together to introduce legislation to remove Joe Biden from the ballots in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. They were dissatisfied with the precedent created by the withdrawal of Donald Trump from the Colorado ballot, claiming that, according to Democrats’ interpretation of the law, Joe Biden would also be disqualified to run for political office.

Given the importance of these states in the election process, removing President Biden from primary ballots in these important states could pose a substantial barrier to his nomination. The members argued that the Democrats’ reasoning for impeaching Trump could also be applied to Biden, citing concerns about the southern border “insurgency” and suspected unethical business deals with China.
