ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has said that PTI chief Imran Khan’s recent audio leaks on embassy cyber will be subject to criminal investigation.
On Monday, he told a press conference in Islamabad that the FIA committee has been given the task of working independently from politics. The Information Minister said the PTI chief had confessed to the crime of using cyber in the audio leaks.
Imran Khan admitted in an interview that he misused the cipher copy. It is not a political issue, it can be solved legally, according to Maryam Aurangzeb, according to national interest and constitutional law.
He condemned Imran Khan’s political intentions to compromise national security and violate the Secrecy Act. He promised that the issue would be resolved rationally. According to him, the entire conspiracy and drama of Imran Khan has been made public.
