Joseph Zadroga, a champion for the rights of 9/11 first responders, tragically killed in parking lot

New Jersey (IMP) — According to the police, Joseph Zadroga, a fervent supporter of the well-being of first responders to the 9/11 attacks, regrettably passed away after being hit by a car in a parking lot.

On Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation in Pomona was the scene of an automobile accident that was reported to the Galloway Township police.

Police said in a news statement that Absecon resident James McNeal, 82, accidentally hit Zadroga with his Nissan SUV after pulling it into a parking spot. This information was corroborated by on-site investigators.

The police said that Zadroga, who was seventy-six, was standing right outside his parked automobile.

Before hurriedly transporting Zadroga to a local hospital, the responding police attempted to save his life. Regretfully, the hospital declared him deceased despite their best attempts.

According to the police, their investigation into the collision is still underway.

The respected head of the North Arlington Police Department in North Arlington, New Jersey, was James Zadroga.

James Zadroga, a New York Police Department detective and 9/11 first responder, tragically passed away from a respiratory illness brought on by chemical exposure at ground zero.
