Islamabad: Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan appeared at the Islamabad High Court amid tight security on Thursday. He expressed his desire to apologize for his controversial remarks against the lady judge, after which the contempt proceedings against him were postponed.

Khan, 69, was expected to be formally charged in contempt of court proceedings by the court for making controversial remarks against a female judge.

After Khan expressed his desire to apologize to Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry for his controversial remarks, the Islamabad High Court adjourned the contempt proceedings against him.

The case is being heard by a larger bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, Justice Mahmood Jahangir and Justice Babar Sattar headed by Chief Justice Athar Minullah.
