Estimates of election expenses rise as general elections are held on the same day – PakistanATN News

Due to the increase in election expenses due to general elections not being held on the same day, the Election Commission has decided to write another letter to the government.

According to the sources, the Election Commission has written a letter estimating Rs 47 billion on the same-day elections, but more than Rs 55 billion will be spent on the two provincial assemblies and the by-elections.

According to Election Commission sources, additional expenditure of 8 to 10 billion rupees will be incurred on the two provinces and the by-elections.

It should be noted that the government has released 5 billion to the Election Commission of Pakistan for pre-election expenses for the preparations for the general elections.
