On Wednesday, a person died due to dengue again in Kolkata. The name of the deceased is Subrata Sarkar. The 61-year-old was a resident of New Government Colony, Bansdroni, Ward No. 113, Kolkata. He was suffering from fever since last Thursday. Later the situation worsened.

Then the doctor was contacted when the chest pain started from Sunday. Then he was admitted to a private hospital in the city on Monday. Dengue report comes positive. At that time his platelets were 1 lakh 25 thousand. Later in the morning it came down to 25 thousand.

The person died on Wednesday morning despite the efforts of the doctors. With this, the death toll due to dengue infection in Kolkata has increased to 8.

According to hospital sources, Subrata Sarkar suffered a heart attack while staying at home. The elder son was informed from that private hospital that he had another heart attack while he was admitted in the hospital. After that, Subratababu’s physical condition started deteriorating further from Tuesday.

The doctors asked the family member to arrange B positive group blood. The blood was arranged by Subrata Babu’s family with the help of local public representatives. But it was not possible to save him in the end.
