The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has arrested the local emir of the banned Daesh Khorasan from the federal capital Islamabad in a major operation.

According to CTD spokesperson, two terrorists, including militant Khalid Muhammad Nabi, were arrested in the operation. According to CTD, the militant Khalid Muhammad Nabi created a Pakistani identity card under a fake name.

According to the officials, the action against the terrorists was done on the basis of the secret information received.

A large quantity of explosives was also recovered from the possession of the terrorists. According to reports, the terrorists brought these explosives to Rawalpindi to be used in sabotage activities.

The terrorist pledged allegiance to former caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of the ISIS organization six years ago. The terrorist was appointed as the local emir of Daesh Khorasan Dalswali Noor Gul.

It is also worth mentioning here that the terrorist was involved in the unification of Khorasan and the defense and confrontation of the territory under the control of ISIS.

Khalid Muhammad Nabi was also arrested by the Afghan forces in 2019 and was imprisoned in Jalalabad and Pul Charkhi prisons, but he escaped from prison when the Pul Charkhi prison was breached in August 2021 after the Taliban government came to power.

Terrorist Khalid Muhammad entered Pakistan illegally from Afghanistan. ISIS terrorist Farooq Abbas was arrested along with explosives from Peshawar. Further investigation is underway with both the terrorists.
