The precise nature of what happened and why they went missing is still being investigated. Authorities suspect the individual died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, based on early information.

At this point, it has been determined that the woman died as a result of strangling. Her death has been ruled a homicide, with her husband named as the sole suspect, according to authorities.

According to SDPD, this alleged murder-suicide “appears to be a tragic case of domestic violence.”
