Aid to the flood victims continues, more than 9 thousand tons of food and essential items have been distributed

Islamabad (92 News) – Relief to the flood victims continues, more than 9 thousand tons of food and essential items have been distributed so far.

4 thousand 653 people were evacuated by army aviation helicopters, 475 people were rescued by Pakistan Navy. 45 medical centers of Pakistan Air Force are established to help the victims.

NFRCC says that Army Aviation helicopters delivered 19.1 tonnes of relief goods to the flood victims in the last 24 hours. Relief camps and collection points are fully functional. 147 relief camps, 218 relief items collection points are established in the country.

Pakistan Navy has established 4 Flood Relief Coordination Centers, 18 Central Collection Points for flood victims. Pakistan Navy has established 19 tented settlements, where 21 thousand 305 people are living. 1668 tons of ration, 5 thousand 775 tents, 721 thousand 223 liters of clean water were distributed in different districts.

NFRCC further says that so far 9 thousand 813 tons of food items, food items have been collected. Among the items collected, one thousand 686 tons of other essential items, 95 lakh 78 thousand 382 medicines were collected.
