6.62 lakh calls to Covid-19 helpline from September 2021 to August 2022ATN News

New Delhi: More than 6.62 lakh calls were made to the government’s Covid-19 helpline number – 1075 – with queries related to the disease, and 7.55 lakh calls related to registration of covid-19 and vaccination appointments between September 2021 and August 15. For official data.

A 24×7 toll-free national helpline number is operated by the National Health Authority (NHA) on behalf of the Union Ministry of Health.

The helpline number is operated by NHA’s call center service provider from March 15, 2020.

From September 2021 to August 15 this year, the helpline received 6.62 lakh calls with disease-related queries, NHA data shows.

The helpline has also been deployed to assist citizens who have booked Co-WIN registration and vaccination appointments since December 2020. During this period, 7.55 lakh calls were received for registration and vaccination appointments for Co-WIN.

According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday, the country saw an overnight rise of 4,777 new coronavirus infections, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,45,68,114 and active cases to 43,994.

The death toll rose to 5,28,510 with 23 deaths, including 11 deaths compromised by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am.

Active cases comprise 0.10 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.72 percent, the ministry said.
