Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif sought relief from the Accountability Court Lahore under the NAB Amendment Act.
Nawaz Sharif filed an application against the declaration of advertisement in the plot allotment case, in which it has been stated that under the NAB Amendment Act, NAB has no authority to take action in cases worth less than Rs 50 crore.
In the reference filed against the petitioner, an allegation of corruption of Rs.13 crore has been made, the accountability court has already ordered the acquittal of the three accused.

The petitioner requested that the court should terminate the proceedings against Nawaz Sharif under the NAB Amendment Act.
The court has declared Nawaz Sharif as an advertiser and ordered to confiscate his property.
It should be noted that the NAB Act has been amended according to which the NAB is no longer empowered to take action in cases worth less than Rs 50 crore.
